WOW! The same thing happened to me. I got my 3rd shot 4 days ago. The first 2 were fine. But a 2 days after my third shot, I noticed a rash on the right side of my face only.. it is almost inflammatory and looks like horrible acne and is so embarrasing.and not to sound shallow, but I have probably had 2 or 3 pimples in my entire life ( i am 25 years old)so I know i am not breaking out. The rash seems to be getting worse and is now spreading down my neck. I also got a severe sharp pain in the right side of my neck the day after the third shot. It lasted for two days and was agonizing. To make things worse, i am in med school and i am ashamed of myself, as a future doctor for getting this vaccine.

SO my question is... did the doxycycline work?? please tell me the rash eventually went away.

Hi, me again. Had an ultrasound of the injection site yesterday. Results are that "the appearance favours a small lymph node although is a very unusual site" so back to square one... no one knows what it is. It's impossible for a lymph node to move to the outside of my arm over my deltoid but the lump (about pea sized) seems to have the same appearance as a lymph node. Doctor said to wait a few months if I can handle the pain (only really hurts with exercise) and see if it goes away otherwise if not, ask a surgeons opinion. Anyone else know what their lump was?

Sorry I've posted this twice because it relates to 2 of the comments here... I'm 23 from Australia and have had all 3 shots. I didn't have any side effects other than muscle soreness for a few days after but 4 weeks after the 3rd shot I developed a small lump at the injection site that got more painful as I touched it or exercised the muscle. I went back to my doctor and he said he had seen similar reactions to vaccines but only immediately after, not 4 weeks later. He told me to put some Voltaren Gel on it and if it didn't go away in a week to go back. It's been 3 weeks and I've just been to see him again. He thinks it may be a ganglion and he's sending me for an ultrasound of the shoulder to see what layer the lump is in, and then he'll decide whether we should just leave it or get it surgically removed. The lump doesn't bother me aesthetically because you can't see it, but you can definitely feel it. I'll make sure I post after I find out what it is next week.

Hey,
I don't know if you still come on here. I happened to google myself and remembered this comment that I wrote and saw you wrote back. Maybe you still check, so I decided to respond...

I'm completely fine now. I didn't take any more shots. I don't think the headaches were related, as I found out I have TMJ and am better now after getting a mouthpiece. I hope your daughter is better now too!

I only took one shot and I had no side effects. I've heard that the way it works is that when they inject you with the vaccine, it's not actually the real virus but an imitation of it, so it won't make you contract the actual virus like other vaccines do...

sorry if that doesn't make a lot of sense, i'm tired right now.

My daughter has had 2 of the shots and I didn't notice any difference after the first one w/the exception of her complaining w/leg pain that no over the counter pain killer would help. After the 2nd shot, she started having all kinds of problem: low bp, high heart rate, dizziness, fainting, hot/cold spells, confusion, cluster headaches, heart/chest pain, tingling/numbness in extremeties, episode w/her spastic colon, etc. I have continually questioned the shot as the cause for all of these things that are now "suddenly" wrong with her. She has always been very active, full of energy and relatively healthy. Most days she feels so bad that she cannot even get out of bed except to take more meds, eat what I force her to eat or go to the restroom.
-------------------------------------------------
We are now due for her 3rd shot and I do not want her to have it. I am afraid it will add even more symptoms to the ones that she is experiencing now. We have seen several drs who have given her different diagnosis that turned out to be wrong: orthostatic hypertension, reactive hypoglycemia and even had an eeg for micro seizures. The cardiologist that we finally took her to diagnosed her with Dysautonomia or POTS as it fits most of her symptoms. He has her on a beta blocker that is calming her heart down some and allowing her bp to come up w/in the lower end of normal but still not where it needs to be. The retaining the right amt of fluid in the body for adequate blood volume is still a big issue however. I would like for anyone who has been given this diagnosis after having received the shot to please contact me. I would like to compare notes. Thank you and I hope all of you who are experiencing your own set of side effects lots of luck......DO NOT GIVE UP!!

Hi! I'm 17 +, turning 18 in July and I received my first shot yesterday. It wasnt that bad, the same as any other shot. In fact, I received that HPV jab and another jab for meningitis, two jabs in one go! So relax, it isnt too much of a deal. Just get someone to distract you when the doctor jabs you, so that you dont "feel" it that much. And of course, dont stare at the needle, it would make you sick (at least for the weak-hearted, haha). The only side effects i noticed are numbness at jab area and sleepyness.. Apart from that, it's totally harmless! Chillz! =P By the way, prevention is better than cure right? Lighten up!
